Online Casino Auditing Agency eCOGRA Wins International Approval

Besides its work providing certification and evaluation within the online gaming industry, eCOGRA has much to be proud of. This includes its own recognition by two different but equally important international groups: AAMS and the International Standards Organization.

Autonomous Administration of the State Monopolies or AAMS is an Italy-based gambling regulator that is responsible for licensing the online casinos, gambling portals, and gaming companies in Italy.

"This accreditation empowers eCOGRA to act as a testing and monitoring agency for online gambling software platforms, random number generators and online casino operator applications for compliance with the technical standards issued by AAMS. It will allow the Italian gaming operators to make use of eCOGRA's services," said Guido Vincenzo in a press release from AAMS recently.

The International Standards Organization, known as the ISO, is a global standards-setting organization that is made up of agents from numerous national standards organisations from around the world. The Geneva-based organization awarded eCOGRA ISO/IEC 17025:2025 approval on 22 March, 2025. This award is important as it is an assurance of quality for approval as a testing organization in European online gambling jurisdictions. The ISO assures that eCOGRA fulfills the "General Requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" in the online gaming field.
