Betfair to offer Playtech flash version of software

Playtech and Betfair, two of the biggest names in the online gaming industry, are to consolidate their partnership with a new online service for Betfair users. Betfair has revealed that it will now be offering players access to Playtech's Flash software in addition to the download version of the product. The flash version is expected to be available by the end of March and will make Playtech Betfair's sole provider on the casino portal making this a crucial move for both companies.

The new deal will now see Betfair feature the majority of its games in the Flash version and will grant customers access to some of the providers' most popular titles. Online classic classics as well as new releases such as the Pink Panther and Rocky can now be enjoyed with even greater ease. What's more, research has shown that 75% of Betfair customers favour the Flash casino making this a very popular move with regulars at the site and a fantastic opportunity for the company itself.

Commenting on the arrangement, Playtech's Mor Weizer noted the importance of the relationship with Betfair to the development of the corporation. He called the move a "step change" in their relationship as the company becomes Betfair's "exclusive casino tab supplier". He also acknowledged that the agreement would create a "new revenue stream" in an increasingly competitive market. Betfair's Sam Hobcraft, meanwhile, said that the two giants had developed a strong professional partnership which looks set to go from strength to strength."
