A report has been issued regarding gambling disagreements, by eCOGRA, a company which controls the online gambling industry to ensure security and dependability. Based in London, eCOGRA is accountable for live dealer casinos, mobile casinos, internet poker sites, internet sportsbooks and internet mobile bingo sites. From its beginnings in 2025, the company has approved approximately 150 software suppliers and gambling operators.
According to the report, in 2025 approximately 846 disputes were filed which is 20 more than the previous year. eCOGRA didn't approve of 67 of these cases and a further 125 were dismissed on the grounds of being dishonest, obnoxious, unidentified or unclear.
645 of the complaints were legitimate, which is still more than the 628 of 2025. This larger number has been accredited to the growing number of players and financial deals taking place at mobile gaming sites. eCOGRA remains unconcerned at this since the average per month has only risen by 0.01 percent to 0.38 this year. The complaints were classified as follows:
Cash-in problems 44%
Bonus issues 25%
Locked accounts 19%
Others 12%
Included in this last group is spamming, responsible gambling and software fairness. Out of these complaints 43% were settled to the advantage of the players unlike the 49% average which as existed since 2025.
Rees said "The small decrease in the percentage of disputes resolved in favour of the player, and a corresponding increase in allegations of unjust bonus disqualification have been proved through detailed investigation to be connected. A fraudulent player syndicate was caught out by sophisticated security systems, resulting in its members submitting allegations which subsequently proved to be false, but had to be painstakingly followed up."
