Ladbrokes Continues Its Commitment To Microgaming Software Supplier

In an announcement last week, Microgaming Software Systems declared that it will continue to supply Ladbrokes with software and games. The two have been working together for ten years, with Micrograming supplying the British land based and online gambling powerhouse, Ladbrokes, with games and software for its successful online gaming site.

According to Roger Raatgever, Microgaming's Chief Executive Officer, this deal caps an entire decade of mutual collaboration.

"We have had a long and successful association with Ladbrokes and this new agreement will enable us to continue working closely together to enable Ladbrokes to provide a market leading casino offering and extend the reach of our products across all Ladbrokes channels," he said.

Raatgever said he is proud to have provided online gambling software to Ladbrokes for these ten years, and he expects their relationship to continue and prosper. Raatgever believes that both companies will profit from "revenue growth opportunities."

Richard Glynn, Chief Executive Officer of Ladbrokes, also discussed his feelings about the deal between his group and Microgaming.
"This agreement reflects our ongoing objective to offer customers the best products in the marketplace through more flexible supplier relationships that offer increased opportunities for growth," Glynn said.
"Microgaming has a proven track record and product range and this new agreement offers us the opportunity to maximise our relationship in the future." Despite the group's success with Micrograming, Ladbrokes is said to be seeking other deals with more suppliers.

Ladbrokes removed itself from deep talks about acquiring rival online gaming group 888 earlier in the year. The acquisition would have meant Ladbrokes would have had to adopt 888's software instead of continuing to use software from external suppliers, such as Microgaming.
The Ladbrokes group claims over 2,700 betting shops and brings in wagers worth more than £15 billion every year.
