William Hill announces odds on Woods comeback

William Hill, one of the most reputed and respected names in the gaming industry, has announced their odds on Tiger Woods playing at the golfing Masters. The world famous British bookmaker is offering 4-6 odds on the golfing legend appearing at the event in April following a car crash last May. Last week saw the odds change to 1-4. In addition, William Hill are offering 5-2 odds that Woods will win take the highly coveted prize trophy at the event. Second favorite to win is Phil Mickelson with current odds of 11-2 at the site.

The past year has certainly been a difficult time for the famous player. Woods took a break from the game since he crashed his car in Florida last May. Further personal difficulties made headlines when an alleged affair attracted huge media attention. A celebrity website reported that Woods had been spotted at a Mississippi sex addiction clinic in an attempt to salvage his marriage with his wife, Elin Nordegren.

Commenting on the odds, William Hill spokesman, Rupert Adams said that there is great optimism amongst Woods fans. "Everybody who's has a bet seems absolutely certain that he'll make it to Augusta". So far, 224 bets have been taken with 217 on Woods playing at the Augusta National. "He's the favorite for every tournament he plays in," Adams continued."In terms of security and everything else like that, the Masters is perhaps the perfect place." With so many interests at stake, it's no wonder everyone is watching Woods very carefully in the run up to one of the most high profile events on the sporting calendar.
