casinoclub's Jackpot Poker progressive jackpot is once again in the news this week, this time for hopefully happier reasons. The online casino has announced that one lucky punter has hit the jackpot, and is set to collect an amazing €235,000 in winnings.
This news comes almost immediately after the site agreed to return the winnings that were denied to a German player back in 2025 after he hit the jackpot. The site claimed that the player was not entitled to his winnings after accusing him of being involved in an illegal gambling ring and so refused to pay out on his €167,500 win. The player complained to the gambling regulator of Malta, who, in a decision that surprised many within the industry, invoked the clause that gambling debts cannot be enforced under Maltese law.
That wasn't the end of the story however. Customers of casinoclub have been lobbying the site ever since to see the return of the jackpot cash that was partly funded by players with each wager. After a questionable amount of time, and under intense pressure from online forums, the site promised to return the funds to the jackpot.
The Jackpot Poker game was indeed re-fuelled on 1st May and was almost immediately won by a lucky player called Gavin. The casino website reported:
"Jackpot Poker just got even better. From the 1st of May the sensational amount of Euro 200,000 has been added to the jackpot of the popular Video Poker game.

"Gavin already hit the jackpot of more than Euro 235,000 in Jackpot Poker."
The jackpot has been reset to Euro 25,875.29 at Euro 25 per hand
