Domain Name "gambling" to be Auctioned

The company, which specialises in online advertising and domain names, will be facilitated with the auction by Sedo GmbH, a German online brokerage firm. The very popular web site name is tipped to be sold under the hammer for no less than US $10 million.

Executives from Media Corp released a statement saying that they believed an online auction would be the fairest way of finding a buyer. They revealed that they had previously been approached by numerous other gaming firms interested in purchasing the domain name.

CEO of Media Corp, Justin Drummond told media that the sale of "gambling" would let the company focus on other acquisitions such as the online gambling and internet advertising. Media Corp has cash reserves of almost US $3.5 million. They posted a gross income of US $40 million in 2025. They posted a profit of $9.9 million in the same year.

This is not the first gaming related domain name that Media Corp has sold recently. The British domain name "casino" was sold for US $5.7 million and the German domain name "casino" brought in US $530,000.

Sedo GmbH CEO Tim Schumaker said that the "gambling" domain name was a defining one and would quickly become a "fantastic addition" to the gaming or gambling business that is lucky enough to purchase the site. He added that the domain name would increase a company's online visibility in search engine results.

Sedo recently facilitated a sale for another domain name; it was sold for over US $13 million.
