OpenBet's video slot Gods of the Nile is built on an Egyptian theme and features 5 reels and 9 paylines.

Whilst the game does not feature the most spectacular graphics, it is very clear and as with other OpenBet games the player controls are easy to use. The spin button, located just beneath the centre reel, is huge as is the paytable button (on the far right hand side) and on the left side there is an easy to use control for adjusting the stake.

Aside from standard symbols on the reels the game also features the Ankh, Jewellery, the Eye and the Black Cat. The game includes wild symbols in the form of the Golden Pharaoh's Heads and they can be used to replace any of the other symbols on the reels. There is also a scatter symbol, the Golden Sarcophagus Head, which will trigger the main feature.

If three or more scatter symbols are spun then the player is taken to a second screen for a small, but fun, bonus game. The player is presented with 3 closed sarcophagi and they must then pick one and guess whether it contains a cash prize or a multiplier. A correct guess takes the player to the next level which is almost the same but has the addition of another sarcophagus with hidden treasures. The bonus round ends when a sarcophagus containing a dead mummy is picked and then the player is taken back to continue regular play.

The game has a fairly high betting range, the minimum bet is 2.5 coins and the maximum is 90 per spin. There is also an autoplay feature which has a maximum of 25 spins.

Overall Gods of the Nile is an average slot game but players who like Egyptian themed games should find it highly enjoyable.
